The British Royal Air Force base RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus was struck by a suspected drone shortly after midnight before Monday, causing limited damage but no casualties, according to the UK Ministry of Defense and Cypriot authorities.

Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides also publicly confirmed that the base was hit by an unmanned drone that impacted the airfield and caused minor material damage. Local officials in Cyprus said security protocols were activated, and the situation is being monitored closely with coordination between the Cypriot government and British base authorities.
