US, Israel defend strikes at UN as Iran alleges 'war crime'

During an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council, UN Chief Antonio Guterres warned Saturday that military action in the Middle East risks triggering uncontrollable consequences in the region, after US and Israeli strikes on Iran.

Iranian ambassador to the UN said Iran will continue to exercise its right of self-defense decisively without hesitation, calling the resulting civilian deaths a "war crime". On the other side, US ambassador told that the international community had long affirmed a simple and necessary principle that is Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
