Investigators examine site of deadly blast at Moscow train station

Officers from the Russian Investigative Committee are probing a bomb explosion at Savyolovsky railway station.

A police officer was killed and two others wounded when a man detonated an explosive next to a patrol car on the station square. The man approached officers in the vehicle before triggering the device. TASS reported the patrol car was badly damaged but did not catch fire. Police secured the area and sent multiple ambulances. The attacker died at the scene, the Russian Interior Ministry confirmed. No information has been released regarding the type of explosive used.
