Pope Leo XIV visits Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus ahead of mass

Pope Leo XIV visited the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Rome, near the Termini train station, on Sunday. 

He celebrated Mass there for the First Sunday of Lent together with local faithful, Salesian priests and religious, children, young people, and people in need from the surrounding community.  The basilica is a parish church entrusted to the Salesians of Don Bosco, reflecting its active role in youth ministry and social outreach.
