UN nuclear watchdog chief meets Iran's foreign minister in Geneva

On Monday, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in Geneva, Switzerland, ahead of the second round of indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the United States.

The meeting focused on technical discussions and cooperation on Iran’s nuclear programme and safeguards — part of broader preparations for the upcoming talks between Tehran and Washington. Grossi described the exchange as “in-depth technical discussions” in advance of the negotiations.
