Iran's Revolutionary Guards begin military drills in Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) conducted military exercises in the Strait of Hormuz on the eve of talks with the United States, following previous warnings from Iranian hardline politicians that they could block the strategic waterway, which carries roughly 20% of global oil shipments.

According to state media, the drills involved naval maneuvers and missile launches, which officials described as defensive measures intended to ensure maritime security. No incidents were reported during the exercises.
