Iran National Day Celebration in Sri Lanka

The 47th Anniversary of the Victory of the Islamic Revolution and the National Day of Iran was celebrated in grand style in Colombo. Organized by the Iranian Embassy in Sri Lanka, the event served as a vibrant platform to honor the long-standing diplomatic and cultural ties between the two nations.

The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthems of both countries, followed by the traditional lighting of the oil lamp. This year’s celebration highlighted significant milestones in bilateral cooperation, including the successful completion of the Uma Oya Multipurpose Development Project, showcased through a special documentary.
