Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister Tarek Mitri and Syrian Justice Minister Mazhar Al-Wais signed an agreement on the handover of some 300 Syrian convicts in Lebanese jails.

The agreement focuses on transferring convicted prisoners to their home country, on the condition that they complete their sentence there. It’s an important step on the path to justice, represented by addressing the situations of convicted prisoners who have spent long periods in jail, and whose cases were among the most legally complex, said Syrian Justice Minister.
