Takaichi and Paudel met at the prime minister’s office in Tokyo

Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi Sanae has told Nepalese President Ramchandra Paudel that Japan will continue to support democratic development in the South Asian country. Takaichi and Paudel met for about 20 minutes on Tuesday at the prime minister’s office in Tokyo.

Paudel is on an official visit to Japan as the two countries mark 70 years of diplomatic relations in 2026. At the start of the meeting, Takaichi told the Nepalese President that she hoped to use the milestone to further strengthen bilateral ties. Paudel expressed his desire to deepen friendly relations with Japan across a wide range of fields.
