Uruguay FM seeks to further cooperation with China

As Uruguayan President Yamandu Orsi arrived in Beijing on Saturday, Uruguay’s Foreign Minister Mario Lubetkin voiced his expectations to further cooperation with China across all sectors.

He said “the strategic alliance between China and Uruguay is advancing with Chinese authorities not only in fundamental sectors such as commerce, economy, infrastructure and education but also in diplomatic relations reestablished between the two countries."

He also expected the President Orsi’s visit brought to the high-quality Belt and Road cooperation and in-depth exchange of views on market access for a wider range of Uruguay’s exports while advancing new areas of cooperation and innovation with China.
