Work Undertakings : Visiting livestock farms and preparations for MSME Expo

To accelerate meat production in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi visited a piggery farm conducted under closed house type and evaporated cooling system in Kyi Taung Kan  Village, Zeyathiri Township on 31st January.

The Deputy Minister heard reports on pig farming condition and distribution, instructed on biosecurity, cleanliness, disease prevention, vaccine administration and inspected the farm. In Ze Yine Village of Pyinmana Township, the Deputy Minister visited broiler poultry farm and cattle farm, heard reports on meat distribution within the region and inspected the farms.

During the inspection, the Deputy Minister encouraged the emergence of small-scale livestock enterprises for the socio-economic development of the residents.

In Talotepin  Village of Lewe Township, the Deputy Minister heard reports on current cattle farming project of Do Myanmar General Cooperative Association, arrangements to expand the farm and forage plantation management.

Upon reports, the Deputy Minister gave instructions on livestock breeding acceleration to secure local food sufficiency without harming the environment, nutrition matters and disease control. The Deputy Minister also inspected the preparations undertaking to hold Union-level MSMEs Products Exhibition and Market Fair and instructed on timely completion and systematic installation and placement of the booths.
