Trump nominates Kevin Warsh for next Fed chair

US President Donald Trump has nominated Kevin Warsh to be the Federal Reserve's next chair. Jerome Powell's term in the role expires in May. Warsh is a former member of the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. His nomination for chair is now subject to approval in the Senate. Trump has been at odds with Powell, and said he would nominate someone who supports interest rate cuts.
