President Murmu hosts banquet for EU leaders

Indian President Droupadi Murmu hosted a banquet in honor of the President of the European Council, António Costa, and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Tuesday.

The President expressed confidence that the India–EU Free Trade Agreement will bring significant positive changes to the lives of Indian people. She said the India-EU Security and Defence Partnership concluded during this visit will open new opportunities for the defence industries. She also stressed to further strengthen cooperation with the EU in the fields of clean energy, climate finance, and sustainable technologies.
