Turkish, French Foreign Ministers met in Ankara

On Tuesday, Turkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with his French counterpart, Jean-Noël Barrot, in Ankara, the capital of Turkiye.

During the meeting, the agenda included the latest developments in Syria, Gaza, and Iran. Fidan and Minister Barrot also discussed bilateral relations, relations with the European Union, and European security. Regional and global issues will feature prominently in the discussions, including the potential Russia–Ukraine peace process through diplomacy and achieve a fair and lasting peace.

Fidan is expected to reiterate Türkiye’s readiness to contribute to peace initiatives.
