Denmark reax on Greenland against Trump

People in the main city of Nuuk in Greenland are voicing their opposition against US President Donald Trump’s desire to take control of the Danish autonomous territory.

Trump has repeatedly claimed that the United States should own the island. He plans to impose new tariffs against eight European countries, including Denmark and Britain, which oppose his bid to take ownership. Protestors rallied in the city of Nuuk last week.

Signboards with “Greenland is not for sale” could be seen outside shops in the city. Flags of Greenland were raised on many buildings. A woman said, “They need to be strong because they need to stand together, all of them, and tell him that Trump needs to respect them as Greenlanders.”
