Syrian army enters Deir Hafer after SDF withdrawal

The Syrian army announced on Sunday that its forces had taken control of Deir Hafer town, Aleppo which formerly controlled by Kurdish terrorist forces (SDF). The army said they had also captured the Jarrah airbase, located east of Deir Hafer, as well as the nearby town of Maskana and more than 30 villages.

It claimed that two Syrian soldiers were killed, while the SDF claimed that several of its fighters were killed. The Syrian army had urged civilians to flee the Deir Hafer area in recent days, with at least 4,000 people leaving according to Syrian authorities.
