Korean companies appear limited despite 25% tariff on certain AI chips

The Korean government and the semiconductor industry are watching closely on the US's new tariff plans, if this measure heralds the implementation on semiconductors. US’s new tariff plans target on NVIDIA and AMD’s artificial intelligence semiconductors produced for exports.

The two tech companies’ AI chips are produced entirely at TSMC in Chinese Taipei and imported into the U.S. before being re-exported to other countries. Currently, the impact on the Korean semiconductor industry appears to be limited despite 25% tariff on certain AI chips.
