









Executive Chief of the State Security and Peace Commission U Aung Lin Dwe visited Loikaw of Kayah State to attend the 74th anniversary Kayah State Day which falls on January 15.
The Executive Chief and party visited the Abbot Training School and donated offertories for the monasteries in Loikaw. They then visited Thiri Mingala Hill (Taung Kwe Ceti) and offered flowers, water and lights, making cash donation. In the afternoon, the Executive Chief attended the opening of Thiri Mingala Market. Chief Minister U Sein Oo extended greetings, followed by formal inauguration of the new market.
The Executive Chief then opened the ceremonial arch to mark the inauguration of the new market. In his speech, the Executive Chief expressed thanks to the concerned officials for rebuilding the Loikaw. He called for cooperation among the government, people and Tatmadaw for ensuring peace and stability in the state. He then took a tour around the newly built market.
The Executive Chief and party later proceeded to 500- bed People's Hospital and met with the health staff. The Medical Superintendent reported on the operation process of the hospital, followed by screening of a video clip on renovation of the damage buildings due to terrorist acts and providing health care services.
The Executive Chief later made cash donation for the medical trust fund of the hospital and comforted the patients. The then inspected the diagnosis unit and ultrasound unit of the hospital. At Loikaw Baptist Church, the Executive Chief met with the leaders of six Christian Communities and provided foodstuff and cash assistance. Afterwards, the Executive Chief and party awarded the winners of ethnic traditional dance competition, marking the 74th anniversary Kayah State Day.
