Inspection of Cotton Mill: MoI UM inspected Yamethin Cotton Mill

Accompanied by Director General and Managing Director, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than visited Yamethin Cotton Mill on Monday.

There, the Union Minister heard the reports on factory’s data and operation processes by the officials. The Union Minister instructed for increased income of the cotton growers by ginning raw cotton instead of direct selling raw cotton in the market. He called for collaborative efforts of all stakeholders to manufacture and distribute cotton ginning machines with affordable prices to the growers for clothing industry development while creating job opportunities for the locals.

  To generate full capacity of all double roller ginning machine, the Union Minister instructed to prepare spare parts and to address installing and using of Solar PV System to the locals in the areas where lack access to electricity. And, the Union Minister and party inspected the cotton ginning with Solar PV System and repairing of ginning machine.
