Tour in Ayeyawady : Meeting in Kangyidaunt and academic visit in Pathein

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with departmental personnel and townselders in Kangyidaunt of Ayeyawady Region on Saturday.

The Chief Minister provided update reports on regional development works, and attendees reported on the needs for agricultural and livestock industry as well as disaster mitigation measures. The Union Ministers explained the efforts for development of agriculture, systematic land utilization, MSME development, and boosting production of value-added products.

In his speech, the Acting President discussed the need to  strive for producing agriculture and livestock based industry, contributing to the socio-economic development with economic growth. He also emphasized for nurturing qualified human resource development through education promotion.

Highlighting the need to achieve targeted yield, the Acting President stressed to cultivate marketable crops, meeting the export quality while implementing poultry and cattle farming for local food sufficiency. Concerning the Phase II Election, the Acting President urged all to cast vote to the candidate who can serve for the interest of the region and the nation.

After the meeting, the Acting President visited the Education Degree College in Pathein and instructed for upgrading the facility, ensuring cleanliness and beautification. At the College Library, the Acting President stressed to provide variety of books and periodicals to support the learning opportunities for the students. He also made cash donation for the library.
