Work Undertakings: Kachin State Day festival and boxing matches

Kachin State Government organized the 78th anniversary of Kachin State Day, with the Manaw Festival and Manaw dance, at the State Government Office on Friday. On this auspicious occasion, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan extended wishes of good health, prosperity and success to all festive comers, expressing hope for a peaceful and prosperous Kachin State.

The attendees then took part actively and joyfully in the Manaw dance. On Thursday evening, the Chief Minister, state government members and officials enjoyed the final match of the Men’s Football Tournament at Nyein Chan Thaya Football Stadium in Myitkyina.

Kachin Youth FC defeated Dudu Sharaw 1–0 in the final. This was followed by 500,000 kyats of cash prizes presentation to each of the eight participating teams, along with prizes for organizers, best players and the tournament’s top players. The Chief Minister and state government ministers then presented awards, medals and trophies to the first, second and third prize-winning teams.

Later, they attended the Myanmar traditional Lethwei tournament at the indoor stadium of the People’s Sports Ground, where they watched bouts featuring champions, club fighters and young generation boxers. The Chief Minister and the State Minister for Ethnic Affairs awarded a total of 10 million kyats of cash prizes to the challengers.
