Dinner reception in Dawei : Taninthayi Region CM attended the reception

The Tanintharyi Region Government hosted the 78th Anniversary Independence Day commemorative dinner reception and entertainment programs on the evening of January 4th at the city hall in Dawei.

First, the Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko greeted the guests attending the 78th Independence Day commemorative dinner reception, and enjoyed the dinner together with the attendees.

Before and during the dinner, ethnic brethren performed traditional dance of carrying water-pot on head, songs, and performances, which were watched and supported by the Region Chief Minister and the attendees.

Afterwards, the Region Chief Minister honored and awarded cash prizes to the performing dance groups.

In order to entertain and bring joy and peace to the local people, staff, and their families in Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region, a stage show and musical entertainment were held in the evening at the Shwewei Riverside Square on Kanna Road in Dawei. The renowned singers and enthusiasts performed, attracting a large crowd of spectators, it’s reported.
