Multiple loud explosions shook in Caracas

The blasts began with witnesses and international journalists reporting at least seven distinct explosions that rattled buildings and sent panicked residents rushing into the streets. Smoke was specifically observed near La Carlota airport, and in the southern part of Caracas.

During and immediately following the explosions, the sound of low-flying aircraft was reported over the city, adding to the atmosphere of alarm.
