Special Postage Stamps : Special commemorative postage stamp to be issued

The Myanmar Post, under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, will issue two special new postage stamps worth 200 kyats each for honoring and welcoming the "78th Independence Day ".

Starting from 9:30 AM on Sunday, January 4, 2026, the special postage stamps will be sold simultaneously at the Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, Yangon General Post Office, Mandalay General Post Office, and major post offices in the regions and states.

As a special arrangement, date cancellation marks will be stamped on postage stamps purchased on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Nay Pyi Taw Central Post Office, Yangon General Post Office, and Mandalay General Post Office, it’s learnt.
