Cold and Snowy Weather Grips Turkiye

A harsh wave of cold and rainy weather continues to affect Turkiye, prompting the State Meteorological Service to issue a “yellow alert” for 31 provinces. While much of the country battles freezing temperatures, heavy snowfall is expected to intensify in the eastern regions.

 The latest forecasts indicate that heavy snow will be particularly effective in the Eastern Black Sea, the southeast of Eastern Anatolia, and the eastern parts of Southeastern Anatolia. Residents in these areas are advised to stay cautious against disruptions in transportation and potential icing on the roads.
