Mexico City welcomes 2026 with huge electronic concert

Mexico City's iconic Reforma Avenue was transformed into a vast open-air dance floor celebrating the arrival of 2026. City authorities called it "the world's biggest electronic music festival." The free event featured a lineup of national and international DJs and electronic artists covering genres from techno and synthwave to experimental electronic music.

Reports indicate that around 250,000 people attended the celebration, filling Paseo de la Reforma as music and dancing extended across the public space.
