Offering of Alms and Provisions : Sagaing Region CM attended the event

The Sagaing Region Government organized an alms offering of alms-food to the Sangha from three major Pariyatti monasteries in Monywa Township, and an offering of dry provisions to senior and junior nuns from ten nunneries in the morning of December 31 within the compound of the Region Government Office.

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and his wife, along with relevant officials, attended the event. First, the Chief Minister, accompanied by responsible officials, visited and encouraged the preparations by department officials, family members, MSME entrepreneurs from Monywa Township, and restaurant owners who were preparing to offer alms-food and dry provisions and other donated items.

Following this, the Chief Minister and his wife, officials, and donors offered alms-food, fruits,  desserts, and cash donations to the members of Sangha, and presented rice, cooking oil, and other donated items to the senior and junior nuns.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials attended the Sagaing Region Regional Tourism Committee Meeting (11/2025) held at the meeting hall of the Sagaing Region Government Office. First, the Committee Chairman Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw delivered opening remarks.

Region Minister for Economic Affairs Daw Yi Yi Than explained matters related to regional tourism affairs. The Director of the Region Hotel and Tourism Directorate then used PowerPoint to present the implementation status and ongoing progress regarding the resolutions of the Tourism Committee Meeting (10/2025), matters to be decided and approved in the current meeting, and the status of tourist arrivals in the Region.

Following this, committee members attending the meeting presented and discussed, by their respective departments, the status of implemented activities, ongoing tasks, and required supplementary support.

Afterwards, the Committee Chairman Region Chief Minister coordinated and integrated necessary requirements based on the suggestions and discussions presented by the attendees, and delivered concluding remarks, it is reported.
