3rd Coordination Meeting : Meeting on holding 87th Kachin State Day held

The third coordination meeting for the successful celebration of the 78th Kachin State Day on January 10, 2026, featuring Manaw dance performances, MSME exhibitions, and sports competitions, was held at the Malikha Hall of the State Government Office, in Myitkyina in the afternoon of December 31.

At the coordination meeting, the State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, the State Chief Justice of the State High Court, members of the State Government, responsible officials from state-level departments, ethnic literature and cultural associations, and traditional cultural groups leading the Manaw dance discussed various matters included the successful collective performance of the Manaw dance at the Kachin State Day celebration, the program for the message reading ceremony, the ceremony for awarding honorary medals and prizes, plans for the honorary dinner and entertainment programs, the inclusion of 20 sports, including Myanmar boxing, and the arrangements for displaying local product MSME exhibitions.

Following the discussions and presentations, the State Chief Minister coordinated and integrated necessary requirements to ensure the Manaw dance is performed collectively in a substantial and traditional manner and for the successful conduct of the ceremonies, it is reported.
