






The fourth day of the 2026 New Year countdown music festival was held on December 31 at the Wanna Theiddhi Sports Training Fields No. 1 and 2 in Nay Pyi Taw.
Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Htun, and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission U Lwin Oo attended the event. The festival is organized to allow local residents, civil servants, and their families in the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw to relax, enjoy, welcome the New Year peacefully and joyfully, and gain renewed inspiration.
This day being the final day of the festival, from the afternoon onward, families and groups of friends arrived in droves by cars, three-wheelers, and motorcycles to participate together. The music festival, which began on December 28, features famous singers, DJs, and music bands performing popular songs for the audience.
On December 31, the program includes a countdown event, with renowned singers, accompanied by dancers and DJ professionals, performing from 5 PM until 1 AM, presenting popular songs to the audience, making the venue exceptionally crowded with attendees.
Additionally, over 50 stalls, including food and beverage outlets and souvenir shops, are open for service. Besides trash bins, mobile toilets are also provided on-site. To facilitate travel to the festival, three routes have been designated, and free shuttle bus services are provided, it is reported.
