









The Union Government Meeting (6/2025) of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar was held on December 31 at the Meeting Hall, Office No. (18), Union Government Office, Nay Pyi Taw. The Prime Minister U Nyo Saw attended and addressed the meeting.
Union Ministers and responsible officials attended the meeting, while Region and State Chief Ministers participated via video conference. First, the minutes of the Union Government Meeting No. (5/2025) were confirmed. Then, the Prime Minister delivered opening remarks. He stated that the Government successfully held Phase (1) of the 2025 Multi-Party Democracy General Election in 102 townships on December 28.
Moreover, political parties, media, international and domestic-based foreign embassies, and election observers visited respective polling stations to observe and monitor the process. They provided comments acknowledging that all procedures were comprehensive and successfully executed with full accountability.
Therefore, he urged responsible officials of the government, in collaboration with the public, to strive from all sectors to ensure the successful completion of Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the free and fair Multi-Party Democracy General Election, which the people eagerly await.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister stated that the Government has consistently prioritized combating online fraud, illegal trade, and drug trafficking as a national duty.
He emphasized the need to successfully develop MSME enterprises utilizing local raw materials, including agriculture and livestock, for national economic promotion, and to undertake environmental conservation activities such as establishing forest plantations and preserving natural forests.
He also mentioned ongoing efforts to develop the education and health sectors, among other points. Following this, the attending Union Ministers clarified and read out proposals, explaining the current status of implementation in their respective sectors and plans for future actions.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister coordinated and integrated necessary requirements based on the Union Ministers' presentations and discussions, delivered concluding remarks, it is reported.
