Award Presenting Ceremony: MoNREC Union Minister awarded the first prizes

A ceremony to present awards for outstanding plantation achievements, outstanding illegal logging prevention, outstanding performance in the National Civil Service University and Union Auditor General's Office training, as well as sports competition awards ahead of Independence Day, was held at the Ingyin Hall of the Forest Deparatment under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation on December 31. Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi, Deputy Minister U Min Thu, permanent secretary, departmental officials, and staff attended the event.

First, Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi stated that the establishment of forest plantations and the prevention of illegal logging are important sectors in forest protection and conservation efforts, and must be carried out as a national duty. He also encouraged staff attending the Civil Service Academy to comply with the prescribed regulations and to strive diligently. He wished that in the New Year, all staff families would enjoy peace of mind, good health, and completeness, enabling them to serve their own interests, departmental interests, and the interests of the country faithfully.

Subsequently, the Union Minister awarded the first prize for outstanding plantation, the first prize for illegal timber seizure, the exemplary awards for trainees/students at the Civil Service Academies, the Level 1 accounting and office skills training, the first prize in the male/female tug-of-war competition, and the first prize in the football competition. Likewise, the Deputy Minister U Min Thu awarded the second prize winners, and the permanent secretaries and departmental officials also presented various other outstanding awards individually, it’s reported.
