Inspection of Renovation Works: Rakhine State CM inspected renovation works in Sittwe

Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin, along with members of the state government and responsible departmental officials, inspected the ongoing major renovation of the Rakhine State Hluttaw building, as well as the completion status of the renovation work of old Clock-Tower in Sittwe on Tuesday.

First, the Chief Minister and officials visited the Rakhine State Hluttaw building to inspect the major renovation work. The Deputy Director General of the Rakhine State Hluttaw Office provided a detailed report on the major renovation, its completion status, and ongoing works.

Following the report, the State Minister for Natural Resources gave additional suggestions and clarifications regarding the ongoing works.

The Chief Minister instructed that the works be strictly supervised to ensure timely completion within the set period and that necessary coordination be made with relevant departments.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister and officials toured the main renovation areas of the Hluttaw building, the meeting hall, and offices, where responsible officials provided further clarifications. They then continued to inspect the renovation of the Hluttaw dormitory, dining hall, and offices, as well as toured the Hluttaw compound.

Then, the Chief Minister and officials inspected the completion status of the renovation work of old Clock-Tower. The State Development Committee's director explained the completion status of the renovation work of old Clock-Tower and presented the plans for the next steps to be taken. The Chief Minister instructed that since the 200th anniversary of the founding of Sittwe city will be held, the Clock-Tower should be systematically developed so that the public and students, can study it, and the necessary coordination and cooperation with relevant departments were provided.
