Inspection Visits to Hotels: MoSYA and MoHT UM paid inspection visits in Yangon

The Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and for the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, accompanied by responsible officials from the ministries, conducted inspection visits on December 29 to hotels in Yangon that are being jointly operated in cooperation with the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism.

During the inspections, responsible officials from the hotels explained the status of implementation in their respective sectors. Based on these briefings, the Union Minister provided necessary guidance and instructions. In the afternoon, the Union Minister met at the Inya Lake Hotel with the Chairman and members of the Myanmar Tourism Federation, as well as the Chairman and members of the Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association, to discuss plans related to the organization of the UMTA Travel Fair 2026.

At the meeting, the Chairman of Myanmar Tourism Federation, the Chairman of Myanmar Tourism Entrepreneurs Association, and responsible officials explained the associations’ ongoing implementation efforts for the development of tourism industry, matters related to tourism promotion, current promotional activities to enhance tourist destinations in order to attract more visitors to Myanmar, and plans for holding the UMTA Travel Fair 2026. In response to these presentations, the Union Minister coordinated and provided the necessary support and guidance, it was reported.
