Thai PM says China 'wants to see peace' between Thailand and Cambodia

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul met China’s Special Envoy for Asian Affairs Deng Xijun to discuss the situation along the Thailand–Cambodia border.

During the meeting, Deng conveyed China’s position as a neutral country and its wish to see peace and stability in the region. He did not seek specific commitments from Thailand, according to Anutin. Anutin stated that Thailand reaffirmed its clear position on its requirements for peace and welcomed constructive discussions aimed at maintaining regional stability.
