Dong Ho folk paintings preserved

After UNESCO recognized Dong Ho painting as an intangible cultural heritage in urgent need of protection, Viet Nam's pride in this long-standing tradition was reignited. This folk art from BacNinh province continues to inspire, and efforts to preserve it are now more vital than ever.

Dong Ho folk paintings, originating in the KinhBac region, have a unique charm that combines simplicity with depth. Each stroke and colour tells a story about the homeland. Following UNESCO’s recognition, the preservation of this art form has gained strong momentum, with families like the Nguyen family continuing the tradition over generations.
