Israeli president hosts former hostages, bereaved families for first Hanukkah candle lighting

Israeli President Isaac Herzog hosted the family of the last Gaza captive Ran Gvili, along with former Israeli hostages and bereaved families of the October 7 attack, during a ceremony to light the first candle of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah. Herzog also condemned the "heinous terrorist attack" that targeted a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney, killing 11 people.
