








Prime Minister U Nyo Saw attended the International Forum marking the International Year of Peace and Trust, held at the Turkmenistan Congress Center in Ashgabat on Friday.
The event also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Permanent Neutrality. Turkmenistan President Mr. Serdar Berdimuhamedov welcomed all participants and laid wreaths to honour the anniversary celebration. The forum continued under the theme “Peace and Trust – Uniting Goals for a Sustainable Future.”
President Berdimuhamedov delivered the opening speech, followed by speeches from attending leaders and heads of international delegations.
In his congratulatory speech, the Myanmar Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the forum coinciding with Turkmenistan’s 30th anniversary of neutrality, Myanmar’s longstanding commitment to the Five-Point Principles of Peaceful Coexistence as a founding member of the Non-Aligned Movement, international support received during COVID-19 and natural disasters, and Myanmar’s preparations for a free and fair multiparty democratic general election, including invitations to international observers.
Later, he attended a dinner reception, hosted by Turkmenistan. On December 10th, Prime Minister U Nyo Saw met with Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, cooperation in the energy sector, and other international issues. He also met informally with other national leaders.
