Agriculture and Irrigation : MOALI Deputy Minister tours in Magway

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw and officials inspected SaeYoe  and Salay  Creek underground dams in MyotThit township of Magway Region on 5th December.

During the inspection, the Deputy Minister stressed the needs regarding the record of underground water level, water flowing into  the creek and spread of underground. water. It is learnt that by constructing underground dams, water can be stored in the upper dam and fulfill underground water.

Local poeple can get water easily for drinking, agriculture and greening environment. The Deputy Minister then held a meeting with officials from Irrigation and Water Utlization Management department, stressing to transform damaged farmland into paddy land along the road of Magwe, Yaynan Chaung and Chauk, and to implement the solar river water pumping project and digging wells in Chauk District.

During the meeting, officials presented the the progress of solar power water pumping project in Chauk Township and implementation of Thaphan Chaung and KyiGyi  Solar power river water pumping projects. In his response, the Deputy Minister instructed that efforts are needed to get water for agriculture and to implement the planned projects in areas that will truly benefit the farmers.
