Football Tournament : Myanmar Women’s Team wins SEA Games Opener 2–1

The Myanmar U-22 Women’s Football Team won their opening match of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games with a 2–1 victory over the Philippines on Friday.

Myanmar led 1–0 at halftime before the Philippines equalized in the second half. Myanmar then secured the winning goal late in the match, earning their first three points of the tournament. Myanmar is competing in Group B alongside Viet Nam, Malaysia, and the Philippines. The team will face Malaysia on December 8 and Viet Nam on December 11.
