Irrigation Works: MOALI Deputy Minister makes inspection tour

Due to torrential rainfall caused by Typhoon Yagi, Paung Laung Dam spillway upper terrace sustained damages. The phase 1 renovation works had already completed before 2025-2026 rainy season, and the phase 2 restoration tasks are now underway.

On 4th December, Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Bo Bo Kyaw and concerned officials inspected the progress of renovation process. During the inspection, the Deputy Minister instructed on quality orientation, adherence to established standards, timely completion, resilience of the facility, systematic monitoring and regular dam monitoring report presentation as well as technological matters.

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister inspected Ma Paik Kal Yoe drainage installation works in Zeyathiri Township and arranagments to conduct silt recovery in farmlands in timely manner and coordinated requirements. Next, the Deputy Minister inspected the football seating area and 400-meter runway upgrading process in Yezin Agricultural University and recreation center project, instructed on timely completion of the works, meeting set standards.
