Sports Training: Preparation for the upcoming SEA Games

Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism JengPhangNawTaung on Thursday inspected the training process of athletes for the 33rd SEA Games.

At the Taekwondo training center, athletes demonstrated freestyle and recognized poomsae, as well as the under-80 kg sparring event. He then visited the Billiards and Snooker training hall, where players competed in trial matches. In doubles billiards, Aung Htwe and Nay ThweOo won 3–1. In snooker singles, Win KoKo won 3–0, and MyoThurya Aung won 3–1.

The Union Minister and officials presented awards to the winning players. He instructed coaches and athletes to take good care of their health, avoid injuries, and prepare well for the upcoming SEA Games. He urged them to focus on performance, discipline, and sportsmanship to bring honor to the country and aim for gold medals. The ministry and Yangon Region Government will also provide rewards for medal winners.
