Visiting the Pagoda: Acting President visits MahaMyat Muni Pagoda

Acting President and Chairman of the State Security and Peace Commission Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visited MahaMyat Muni Pagoda in Mandalay on Thursday.

Together with his wife and entourage member, the Acting President offered emerald alms bolw, fruits, flower and water to the pagoda. They then toured around the pagoda and viewed the progress of renovation works for the damage caused by the earthquake.

The Acting President also instructed for long term durability of the pagoda with systematic work implementation. During the visit, the Acting President and party made cash donation for all-round renovation of the pagoda. They then visited the exhibition booths which displays the donated items, and viewed the jewellery donated by well-wishers for the diamond bud and vane which have been damaged by the powerful earthquake.

They also observed the diamond bud, vane, and other parts of the pagoda, storing there. The Acting President later visited the Prayers' Hall and instructed officials for systematic maintenance of the facility for convenience of the visitors. He also made cordial greetings to the pilgrims.
