





Winners of the Inter-basic Education School Drum and Bugle Corps Competition for the 2025-2026 academic year were awarded at a ceremony, held at the Thuwunna National Indoor Stadium 1 in Yangon Region on Wednesday.
Students representing 24 basic education schools in Yangon Region took part in the event, with 13 schools in Group A and 11 in Group B
The University of Education Practicing High School (Kamayut) won first prize in the Group A competition, making the school grabbed the title for three consecutive years.
Principal, Practicing High School (Kamayut),,Dr. Thwe Thwe Oo said " Our school won first prizes for drum major and team performance for three consecutive years. Our joy cannot be expressed by words, and really honoured for this. Our team comprised of 65 participants for this year. We also got a lot support from parents."
Grade (10) Student, Practicing High School (Kamayut), Myint Myat Wai Yan said " We achieve this prize for our hard works. All of our team members have practiced in unity and harmony. As a team leader, I'm really happy about it. We hope to maintain our achievement in the coming years. "
No.2 Basic Education High School, Bahan won first prize in the Group B competition.
Principal, No.2 Basic Education High School, Bahan, Dr. Nwe Ni Lwin said " I'm really happy for winning first prize. This is the outcome of our hard works since the beginning of the academic year."
Organized by the Yangon Region Government, the annual Inter-basic Education School Drum and Bugle Corps Competition aims to enhance students' skills, promote sportsmanship, improve health and fitness and foster teamwork through cooperation.
