Viet Nam–Brunei issue joint statement

On the occasion of the State Visit to Viet Nam by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Viet Nam and Brunei Darussalam on Monday issued a Joint Statement reaffirming their commitment to further strengthen the Comprehensive Partnership.

The Leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across key areas, and welcomed the early achievement of the 500 million USD trade target. Both sides agreed to work toward doubling two-way trade by 2035 through diversifying products and promoting more balanced trade.

The two sides also agreed to promote cooperation in the digital economy, green transformation and circular economy through sharing best practices and enhancing research linkages between institutes and universities.
