The opening ceremony of the Mobile Industrial and Vocational Training Course was held at the Industrial Zone Hall in Dakhinathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw on December 1.

Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than attended and delivered the opening address. First, the Union Minister stated that the subjects taught in the Mobile Industrial and Vocational Training Courses are aimed at progressing from the level of knowledge to the practical application level and then to the skill level; therefore, the course duration has been set for a minimum of two weeks.

He said the trainees will be taught three aspects in a balanced manner: technical knowledge and theoretical proficiency, practical vocational workshop skills, and workplace attitude comprising discipline, spirit, and cooperation. He added that this course will train and teach the fundamental foundations required for industrial operations, so trainees should systematically listen, note, and learn, and must share the knowledge and skills acquired in the workplace with each other.

Subsequently, a Nay Pyi Taw Council member explained the status of industrial operations within Nay Pyi Taw, the provision of necessary loans for MSMEs, the completion of issuing SME Member Cards, and the situation regarding organizing local product exhibitions/competitions.

The Chairman of the Industrial Zone Management Committee also separately explained the status of industrial operations being implemented within the Industrial Zone and the progress of Industrial Zone development activities. Following these presentations, the opening ceremony was concluded.

Afterwards, the Union Minister warmly met and gave encouraging words to the trainees who will attend the Basic Mechanical Engineering, Basic Electrical, and Basic Welding courses, and inspected the teaching aids. It is learned that 68 trainees will attend this Mobile Industrial and Vocational Training Course, which will provide theoretical and practical training for two weeks from December 1, to December 12, 2025.
