Pope Leo XIV meets bishops, clergy at Harissa shrine in Lebanon

Pope Leo XIV met bishops and clergy at a shrine in Harissa, north of Beirut, where a giant statue of Our Lady of Lebanon overlooks the Mediterranean from a hilltop. During his visit, the pope is scheduled to hold an inter-religious event in central Beirut’s Martyrs’ Square. The gathering will include representatives from Lebanon’s 18 officially recognised religious denominations.
