Air pollution in Bangkok surged to unhealthy levels on Monday, affecting nearly 50 areas, according to the city’s air quality monitoring center. The Permanent Secretary of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, stated that the poor air quality in Bangkok and its vicinity is likely to continue exceeding the standard until December 2.

Air circulation is expected to improve, with pollution levels forecast to decrease between December 3 and 5. Authorities urged the public to take precautions, including wearing PM2.5-grade face masks when outdoors and limiting strenuous outdoor activities.
