Opening of Road Section: MGY Region CM officiated the road section

The opening ceremony for the asphalt paved road section along the Minbu–Salin–Tanyaung–Seikphyu Road in Minbu (Sagu) Township, Magway Region, was held on the morning of November 30 on the road in Ward No. (1), Saku Town. The Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, attended and officiated the opening.

First, the ribbon-cutting for the road opening ceremony was carried out by Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, region ministers, and departmental officials. At the ceremony, the Chief Minister presented honorary cash awards to the drum and dance troupes from Sagu No. 1 Private High School for their support and participation. He then toured and inspected the newly upgraded paved road.

Afterward, at the briefing hall where the ceremony continued, the Magway Region Chief Minister stated that with the improvement of transportation infrastructure, the flow of goods and trade transactions would become faster and more efficient. As a result, this would significantly support the education, healthcare, and socioeconomic life of the local people. He encouraged all local residents who use the roads to work together to maintain the roads and bridges so they remain durable and long-lasting.

Next, the Region Minister for Road Transport and the Director (Urban) of the Magway Region Road Department explained the works carried out on the Sagu town section of the Minbu–Salin–Tanyaung–Seikphyu Road, including upgrading 4.5 furlongs in length and 24 feet in width to a asphalt paved road, laying concrete shoulders, and constructing stone-lined roadside drainage canals. A local resident also expressed words of appreciation for the construction of the road.

After that, the Region Chief Minister and responsible officials visited the Sagu Township Hospital, where they observed specialists from the Minbu District General Hospital providing field medical treatment to local residents from Sagu town wards and surrounding villages. They also inspected the maintenance and repair works of the township hospital and provided necessary coordination and support.
