






A public cycling event was held on Sunday in Myitkyina, Kachin State, as part of a campaign for a drug-free state.
The event, organized in front of the public sports stadium, was attended by Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and Hotels and Tourism Jeng Phang Naw Taung, Chief Minister U Khat Htein Nan, officials from the Ministry, and officials.
The ceremony began at 6 a.m. with the Union Minister firing a starting gun. Participants cycled along the designated route from Thakhin Net Pe Road to Aung Zay Yan Aung Pagoda and back to the stadium. Officials welcomed the cyclists and provided refreshments and lucky draw prizes. The local youth cycling team also performed demonstrations. Winners of the lucky draw and competitions were awarded prizes, including bicycles and household items.
