Tour in Yangon : Belarus Ministers visit cultural sites in Yangon

Ministers from the Republic of Belarus, along with the chairperson of the state-owned enterprise “Bellegprom” and delegation, toured in Yangon on Saturday before departing Myanmar.

At the Shwedagon Pagoda, the delegation paid respects, offered flowers, water, candles and incense at the Buddha image. The delegation also visited the Jade Buddha image and toured religious buildings around the pagoda platform.

They then visited Bogyoke Market, where they viewed and purchased local products including jewellery, jade, handicrafts, paintings, traditional clothing, and gold- and silver-thread items. In the evening, the Belarus Ministers and delegation departed Yangon by air. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Health Minister Dr. Aye Tun, regional ministers and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs saw them off at Yangon International Airport.
